What's Your Mood?

A key element of the redesign process is a mood board. A mood board is the best way for a designer to communicate and summarize the plan, or vision, for your space. Basically, it is a collage of all of the elements that go into making your room feel the way you want it to.

Go Room By Room uses a mood board as the main way to visualize the results of an initial redesign consultation. The board will show images that reflect the conversation shared during the consultation phase, to include budget. The images start out as general place holders (within budget) for the major elements of the room: furniture, lighting, fabric, pillows and rug. Wall color and accent colors are included to create a working palette. A floor plan is likely to be included as well. Sometimes one of the elements is something you already own and want to continue to use - a favorite chair, bedding, area rug, or drapery. There may be be a few choices of elements for you to contemplate. Something for him. Something for her. Not every redesign starts out with the same mood in mind.

If you have a room, or two, or three, that need a do-over Go Room By Room can help you redesign and set the right mood. An initial consult starts at $150 for one hour of in-home design time followed by a mood board. Revisions and shopping services require additional fees. Let's get you in the right mood!
